The way we deal with waste is constantly changing. With new regulatory requirements, such as the mandatory introduction of food organics and garden organics (FOGO) collection by 2030, and the rising costs of service delivery, Oberon Council is seeking input from both residents and businesses to guide the future of waste services in our community.
Council is developing a Waste and Resource Management Strategy to set the framework for delivering waste services that are reliable, affordable, and sustainable. The Strategy will explore ways to:
Reduce the amount of waste generated
Increase opportunities for reuse, recycling, and resource recovery
This is your opportunity to have a say in how waste and resource recovery services are delivered and managed across the Oberon local government area. Your feedback will help Council balance the services you want and need with the costs of providing them.
👉 You can complete this survey twice: once as a resident and again as a business (if applicable).
You have until midnight Sunday 21 September 2025 to complete the survey.
