At the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 17 December 2024, Oberon Council resolved to place the proposed Councillor and Staff Interaction Policy on public exhibition for a period of 28 days, commencing 18 December 2024.
The draft policy was presented to and endorsed by the Oberon Council Audit Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC) at its meeting on 11 December 2024.
Key objectives of the proposed policy include:
Establishing respectful and professional communication guidelines.
Clarifying roles and responsibilities of Councillors and staff.
Ensuring fair and equitable access to information.

Community members are invited to review the updated policy and provide their submissions during the exhibition period.
Submissions can be made below, or via email and sent to council@oberon.nsw.gov.au and must be received by the closure of the public exhibition period at 4:30 PM on 15 January 2025.
